I drive on swift dedicated walmart and make 900 before taxes

Curious, are going to be full blown OTR, or are you trying to stay regional?

 

I pull containers for jb hunt out of the Atlanta railyards five days a week and average $1,400 and I just started a month ago.

The vets here are making around $1,800 a week. Maybe when I finally get my hazmat I will be up there with them.

 

Is that 1099 or W-2?

 

W2 company driver.

I have a friend that's been with Groendyke for 15 yrs, he started off doing gasoline, then asphalt, he's done crude, he volunteers for a lot of stuff, occasionally they'll shuttle him and a truck around to fill in. Two years ago, he spent 7 week in New Mexico, salary + hotel + laundry + meals + bonus, he shared a rental car with 4 other drivers at Groendyke's expense. Earlier this year he was talking about buying his own truck and leasing on to them hauling crude here in Colo.
