Not sure what you mean by "standing out."

I'm meeting with the company on Tuesday. I might end up going local for awhile. They called me the day I turned in the truck and I made it clear that I would not be running any more local stuff on CPM (and OTR runs and local runs don't mix as far as scheduling and trip planning IME).

I hope it works out for you.

“Standing out”, imo is your name/driver number being recognized as one who Really does the job and really tries to do the right thing.

Not even 96 hours after resigning, mega company calls to let me know I’m eligible to be re-hired.

    SERIOUSLY?!

“So why would you say they starved me for miles Before I resigned? What has changed in the last 3-1/2 days that would provide me a more positive experience? Will I still be having to watch my paycheck like a hawk? Why has HR not communicated with me regarding my change of address and request for a digital or hard copy of my last paycheck since I can no longer log into the driver portal to get it myself? Is the wait time to speak to a driver manager still in excess of 20 minutes? Are the regional drivers I will meet still going to get more miles than OTR drivers? How about we end this telecon full well knowing Nothing would change...please remove me from your list.”

Maybe, to them, it's not whining. Maybe, to them, it's just describing a situation that they aren't familiar with and don't know how to handle.
Listen to what they say, not how they say it. Sometimes that helps.
If they get good advice, don't take it, and still continue on the same path and keep complaining...that's whining.

    LtlAnonymous and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I remember when any load under 100 miles was hourly. How did we get here from there?

Probably when people started to willingly work for 15 cents a mile
