I was the yard jockey tonight and thought of something. If I really hated everyone I could lift all the trailers way up and then crank the gear all the way down before dropping them lol. How many idiots you think would just back up without looking and get the pin stuck in front of the fifth wheel? I'm betting more than one lol.

Experienced driver will use dunnage and their air suspension to manipulate the height of their trailer to get out from under it. It's still time consuming as hell.misterG, LoneCowboy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -

Does anyone elses company not buy new pallets and just get the junk ones repaired? I swear the company uses balsa wood and trim nails to fix them. Everytime you pick one you breaks and gets stuck under the jack, doesn't matter where you line it up.

I refuse to buy my own jack. They are designed for one purpose and one purpose only and that is to move a customer's freight inside a company trailer. I would have no use for it if I moved on to a company with their own jacks or if I left the industry all together.Gearjammin' Penguin and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
