I always see you guys on I-72 and I-55. Trucks and trailers look in good condition from what I can tell.

Test your lifting technique and heart rate using timed lifting tests.

    They
They own their equipment, tractors & trailers. Equipment is very well maintained. Tractors are traded between 600-800K miles and serviced well while in service. Fleet is Volvo’s & Peterbilts only, all auto.

That’s fuel mileage bonus. The parameters change based on winter/summer period. The bonus ranges from .01-.04cpm based on avg mpg.

Applied on January 2nd and had my interviews around a week ago via Zoom video chat. Thankfully they decided to move forward with me and am going on a ride along with a trainer on Thursday. Very excited about this new chapter in life. This thread has been very helpful and greatly appreciated so I will pay it forward with updates as I progress.

I'm at a really good job right now, monetarily, benefits and vacation time wise but I hate it and have for a while, I'm pretty miserable but doing what I need to do to support my wife and son.

I have driven quite a bit part time over the years and even a couple of full time stints, I've done a LOT of NYC, NJ, the whole NE corridor, Reefer, with a perfect driving record, along with OTR and I've been completely out of it, driving, since '08. I have dry van, tanker and step deck experience also.

I'm in a position to where I'm eligible to retire now but just not sure about stepping off the edge of that cliff. I need to keep working for a few more years but I'd like to retire here and go to work someplace I like. Life is getting like that saying.....the more people I'm around the more I like my dog, LOL. I enjoy meeting people and conversing I'm just sick of the drama, backstabbing, lying, laziness, and BSing that I'm around everyday and have been for quite a few years.

I've researched for years looking for that great fit and this seems to be it. I miss the solitude trucking offers but combines with people interaction now and then.

My question is, has anyone here left a lucrative career to come here and regretted leaving their old job?

I would be applying at the Ardmore terminal if I ever decided to do this. I have kept my CDL with tanker endorsement also.
