My bad, since I was the only one that mentioned an air to air, I assumed you were talking to me.
I have a jwac 400 b model in my log truck, it does pull ok for what it is.

    Captain Mudsocks Thanks this.

I am not 100% sure, but I tend to think you can. I know where a 3408 is in one, with a butterfly hood, it is an extended hood, but it fits in there nice, and just purrs down the road.

The 3406's fit in them, and I do not think the e models are any longer, again not 100% sure.

Probably could, but I don't know if I'd want to. I'm not much of an electrician. Lol (My dashcam in pic) I can wire up headlights, but I don't know about an electronically controlled motor. My pickup has a 5.9 cummins 12 valve and it's served me well so far. Hauled almost everything the family owned from Idaho to Michigan to Texas. It also survived the previous owner's beating. The oil was the consistency of mascara when I got it and he didn't know how to shift. Maybe I'm just being stubborn, but I prefer fully mechanical stuff. IMG_20190415_185958476.jpg

Think I might locate and call some of those aftermarket parts outfits about radiators and air to air. Might buy something from one of 'em at some point. May the most helpful salesman win lol. Google hasn't been very helpful so far. :/

I have a nice A model, to do this with, but it is kind of regrettably not a narrow hood. From what research I have done, to use the A model radiator along with an air to air, it takes some custom work on the tanks. Now supposedly you can use the radiator out of a short hood b model and air to air. I have already bought that combination to try.

A narrow hood would likely have to have a custom built air to air, as nothing had them back when the needle noses were around, and I don't know of anything that would have one that narrow.

Wide hood is definitely more practical.
