Has anyone popped the grill covering the door speakers on a 2019 Cascadia? I'd like to install aftermarket pieces.
My radio has the full Sirius xm package, so that stays. I'll be adding a minidsp 2x4 dsp and a powered Klipsch sub to fill in the bottom end.

    Hi Metron ..
    Did you figured out? .
I have the same issue...checking this forum every few days and is no any response so far...I'm planning to do the same thing because original radio and speakers sounds terrible. So far I ad ( replaced) sleeper speakers and ad subwoofer and I can tell there's HUGE difference in sound quality, but I still need to get....the door which is more challenging... if you have any advice...PLEASE respond...to this post...Derek- driver

I did get it figured out. I'd like to shoot a quick video and put it on youtube. Might be easier to explain that way. I'll work on it in the next few days.

Sorry for the late reply. Been running so much. For now the best I can do is to give some tips, and a couple of pics. Otherwise, I'm on YT as "hifi trucker", got 1 vid with a demo of my old 2018 Freightliner. I have the same Pioneer deck (deh-8800bhs) now in my 2019.

The speaker grill is plastic welded to the door panel. Remove the plastic welds and you'll be able to pop the grill any time you need.

    - T-30 bit for the various screws, including 4 or so under the door handle cover.
    - door handle cover has 2 slots, insert a flat screwdriver, pry up with force, you won't break it
    - window switch panel, pry up with knife or flat screwdriver, easy disconnect
    - lift door panel up and away
-take a knife to the plastic welds and remove enough material to push the grill out, the grill will snap back in place so it's all cool

The speaker is a 5 1/4 inch, depth is 2 inches, horrible sound quality. I already changed the deck to a Pioneer deh-8800bhs. I'm looking at Hertz, Helix or Ground Zero for replacement speakers. I wanted Audio Development but the depth is 2.25 inches, too deep.

Edit: I've done more research on aftermarket speaker selection. It might be a bit tricky to select something that just drops right in. I'm thinking it might require a spacer adapter. At my next hometime I plant to take one of the oem front door speakers with me for measuring. I have a feeling I might be able to squeeze a 6 - 6.5 inch speaker in there. Depth will still be an issue.

Have u changed out speakers yet? I have 2019 Cascadia and put in kickers 6.5 and had to make a few new holes but work great.. now I just have to figure what to do to make the info center get rid of message saying speaker problem get serviced soon.. there are two pairs of speaker wires going to original speaker for I'm guessing lane assist, need to know how to get rid of message. I might try a cheap speaker on the other wires to see if it cancels out. Heres pics of original speaker. Hope this helps someone out.
