No more California

They were the main reason behind passing the law.

 

There were huge 1099 abuses in the ports. I think 60 minutes did a segment on it or something.

 

1099 lease drivers are headed to the bone yard. The cali Gov just signed this new law in to effect last week. With carb, and the new smog check for trucks as well as the over regulated anti truck attitude in California, truckers would be smart to move out of the state.

 

I would bet landstar will be rite behind them.

 

If ur living paycheck to paycheck then you are doing something wrong.

 

CA AB5 hurts more then trucking. It hurts EVERYONE that uses 1099 workers.. I think CA is doing this just for force everyone to pay income taxes.. Forcing everyone to W2 then you will be paying taxes weekly.. More money for CA to hold onto. People really need to be worried that other states don't follow this

 

And some states do not tax wages. Those are the future homes of those who have not yet made the decision to emigrate from CA.
