Protecting Tarps

Ive got it all. Each has its use. What you carry is your business.

PS- once all the ribs and corners are cut off a bucket segment will actually wrap and bend surprisingly well. If youre knockin it i'll assume you havent tried it.

 

I just go by the rule that if they want it tarped, they should shrink wrap it. lol

I tarped for years, then just left all but a smoke and one small machinery tarp (which I kept out of sight) at home. I did miss a load now and then, but I don't think it really affected my revenue a whole lot.

 

These days 4s arent enough to keep me moving on good runs. Had to patch the 8s.

 

tarp protector: 2 dollar yellow plastic corner ball works well for extremely sharp corners. It has small hole you can tie to straps or something.

 

Edge protectors. There's corner protectors also.

And lots of other good ideas already mentioned.

I used corners and carpet.

 

Those things are awesome. They work very well if u have something thats in a metal rack or something similar. I use them when hauling glass they put all the glass in those metal racks and i put those plastic balls on top of the metal posts. have saved alot of time and effort keeping my tarps from ripping. Ive also found good ol duck tape works well on metal racks .. A couple times around the edges and it softens the edges very well... Sometimes i just wish i had a conestoga

 

I cut gatorade bottles to go over my pipe stakes for tarp protection. Works so far.
