my company offers free heath insurance I pay 0 dollars a week for the premium. My max out of pocket is 6600. I went in to get myself checked up for like std and general health. Got a 60 dollar bill went back because I thought I had scabies took doctor 5 minutes to diagnose said fungal infection prescribed meds no lab work or anything got a bill for 560 dollars!they said there was lab work so I don’t know the complete story on if that 500 dollar bill was for the first visit. But #### before trucking went to doc never got that big of a bill. Is this insurance they are giving us for “free” a scam or what?! What are you other truckers paying as a single person no kids. I’m afraid to go see the doctor now like really! Maybe another company that actually charges the 50 bucks a week has REAL health coverage? Let me know. Thanks

Also the brochures to this company says they are paying like 500 to 600 a month for my insurance. I pay 0 of that but honestly we pay for it in other ways like no tarp pay

Whoops meant to say my annual deductible is 2500
And max out of pocket is 6600 -
Per person or the whole family...?

P.S. my health insurance on the open market is $1235 a month for just me....

It's because you have a $2,500 deductible, which means that you pay the first $2,500 in medical bills. After that they pay 80% until your out of pocket maximum is met, or $6,500 dollars. After that, it's paid at 100%. There will be certain charges that don't have a deductible, but you'll need to read the policy to know what those are.

cheaper not to have to get checked for the clap...... But yeah, @SteveScott has it right.
The premium is paid for you, not the deductible or copays. And $600 a month is about right. -
