Once again, it has nothing to do with the make, it has everything to do with the condition. The fridge is a pretty big deal to me as well. I save atleast $50/week by having it stocked with enough food for lunches and other healthier snacks. Sure is nice to save all that money every month rather than putting it in some truckstops piggy bank.
I went back to this company with promises of good pay and other compensation. I busted my ### to show them Im a team player. Ive forfeited layover pay, breakdown pay and even tarp pay so as not to try and rock the proverbial boat. Rates have slipped, o/o's have left recently.
Maybe spending 20-25k on a full rebuild doesnt make sense, but trading that truck off for peanuts plus spending another 30k+ on another truck doesnt really make sense to me either.G13Tomcat, thelushlarry, Fold_Moiler and 2 others Thank this. -

For instance, my co went out and bought 4 Kw t680's that were ex-heartland trucks. Very basic options, short wheelbase, paccar mx-13's choked down. They have had multiple issues with these trucks. The drivers that were in them came out of 02-03 Peterbilt 379's. Cat C15's and 10spds. No dricer had any issues with these trucks outside of small wear and tear.
So far from what Ive been told the fuel savings have not made up for the outlay of the cost of the trucks or the needed repairs so far. This doesnt even include the future cost of repairs the trucks are going to need.G13Tomcat, thelushlarry and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
