Running with JCT, Part Deux

Just to let everyone know for whenever you are in Houston, Texas. JCT does have an account for washouts at the A1 Truck Wash. It is next door to the Flying J on I-45 exit 64 Richey Rd. It's on the north side of Houston, but it beats waiting for hours at the Blue Beacon. I've been using them exclusively now for a couple of months. Good people there. Place is kind of a dump, but they are quick, do a good job, and I rarely wait in line for the washout. Closed Sundays and Open M-F 7am to 5pm and Sat 8am-4pm. Plus you can pull into the J get your reefer fuel and stuff, then make a right out the drive way to the washout driveway then make another right out of there to go back to the interstate. So, no need to cross traffic for a left. That road can be a real PITA sometimes to get out.

So I read in another thread that an o/o carrier is cutting ties with all California licensed operators. I am curious what JCT's operators from California are hearing, if anything?
Particularly, I'm curious about the local California drivers.

I80 around elk mountain is going to be nasty next couple days....

 

Dang I80 east closed from Utah to Laramie. 14-16 hour estimated reopen time. Hope this ain't a precursor of the season to come...

 

Drove through that last night. Wasn’t pretty. Almost saw a truck jackknife. Once I got past elk mountain on 80 west roads were clear until Utah.

 

Yeah this morning from Jerome ID I hit the abort button on Wyoming and took the 6 back door across Soldier Summit en route to the 40 and OKC.

What sucks about Utah is their road conditions map doesn't even start until November 1st....so I kind of had to guess at the conditions at the top of soldier summit... Wasn't too bad a little bit of slush.

I just think it's insane they put a timing thing on their maps like that...unless they are just updating them or something.
