Upgrading tomorrow!

Well everyone, after being stuck alone in a hotel in Ohio for 3 nights, I will be finishing my upgrading tomorrow.

I did most of the written tests when I got here. I need to do the road test (it’s an automatic so I’m not too worried about that), backing test, and pretrip test.

the only two things that worry me are:

pulling the trailer out from between two other trailers. Sometimes, I get behind the wheel and it seems like no problem, other times it feels like the wall/row of trucks in front of me is too close and I have a hard time pulling out and turning without getting too close to the trailers beside me, or I have difficulty getting pulled out then turning hard enough to avoid hitting the obstacles in front of me.

secondly, 45 degree backs. I know HOW to do them, but setting myself up for them, then reading what my trailer is doing is really difficult for me. It just feels like I’m shooting blindly at the hole and hope I hit it. I’m having real anxiety about having to do that in truck stops at the end of my shift. I’m worried I won’t be able to get in, and that I’ll not be able to find a place to park before my HOS is up!

advice would do wonders to calm me down going into tomorrow!

I passed. 2 pull ups because I didn’t chase quick enough, but I was in control and knew what I was doing.
