Out of the 2+ million that signed up for the "Area 51 raid" only about 100 actually showed up.

So I'm guessing a lot might have just joined to see what kind of stupid things people in the group are saying.

Economically, the stupidest thing western Canada could do is secede from Canada. It would be like Quebec separation, they'd lose all the benefits of being part of Canada, but gain nothing from independence.
