Emergency fund was 20,000.00. Already used up on towing, diagnosing, Bill's and load coverage. Have four payments left on the tractor, trailer is a rental. Just had some repairs done on tractor, pm and inspection. It was all good.

let me tell you this. I have money on my saving account but if this #### dd15 will be broken(inframe needed or engine replacement) somewhere I am not going to fix it. I will go to dealer and buy another truck... I will sell it cheap to local guys ...

Just keep breathing. You'd be amazed the answers that pop to you when you stop and breathe. I said a prayer for you. You may be surprised who'll finance you a truck even when you don't have the money to fix the old one. There may be some good advice folks are giving you. No cash for an engine but 0 down for a truck may be an option. PM me as to how it works out. I know you're in a bad spot.

Of course there will be payments. And if he is unable to pay them he better go out from o/o world... what is monthly $1500 payment ? nothing ! if not a cheap hauler.

I could see it both ways. I hate debt. A paid off truck is SWEET. But sometimes peace of mind is worth a lot of money. Broke down under a load with no money to fix a truck. VS back on the road with the load and keeping your companies dependability in tact with your customers. I guess it depends on the person. New debt isn't always the devil. Especially when you can't deliver and you're 1500 miles from home. If my truck blows an engine on the side of the road I'm most likely ubering to the dealership and buying a new one. Repower the trailer, deliver the load and worry about the payment next month. I'll take the debt to stay on the road and make more. I guess. I'm blessed with good credit, not everyone can do it. Coach Dee. Do what feels the best.
