They tell you, you get a fuel discount. Which is great. So I fueled. But what they don't tell you is you have to keep fueling to keep the truck moving.

That greatly impacted the money I thought I'd make.

    interpreter and blacklabel Thank this.

Well it's .26 off the pump price. Is Nastc better?

Different states/different stations have different discounts. But it’s a good discount.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

We have varying discounts. TA and Petro are the best for us 95% of the time.

Hegemeister, 77fib77 and nikmirbre Thank this.

Yeah when I was working for a small bco Fleet owner at Landstar he had me leaving Monday with a load from the Boston area and heading out to Indianapolis to deliver with a pretty well lined up return load that got me back Thursday night or Friday morning and we got about $4,400 to the truck. It was crazy good money but it obviously couldn't last.

He built relationships with other people, but eventually we just stopped finding good Freight anywhere in the Northeast and I like to get home every weekend.

It was a choice between learning to pull Flats or getting laid off with a weeks severance pay and well I work for upsf now so...

The mobile app was great it's just that rates really really took a dump in the northeastern part of the country it seems to all be LTL Rejects or Oddball stuff going way down south and the double brokering got outta hand.

It just wasn't really possible to find quality loads regionally...

Brokers are allowed to go out of network but us drivers aren't?!

Between 20 and 80 cents per gal... ta petro like some1 else said

Like I said Landstar is taking a bigger percentage over the years and their rates are going down so they have to lower standards in order to get drivers.

Also when I say perfect record I mean you need to really sanitize that record. Have all of your documents in order ready to submit the minute you apply.
