Where is everyone #5

I would be a terrible junkie. I hate needles so much so that I haven’t had a tetanus shot since I was in 7th grade and I’m 30 now.

 

Me too lol.... If I was outside the hospital and someone tried to stick me..... I’m probably not what you consider a small man, someone’s gonna get hurt!!

 

After I sopped my plate from breakfast this morning I had a biscuit left. .....

 

I am so sorry , both for my ignorant comment and for your situation. That is all just so tragic. The suffering of people who used to (hopefully) be humans who are reduced to animals, and the misery put upon everyone they come in contact with...

 

If all that was damaged is pride and the bank account, I'd say you're still ahead.

 

You never made a ignorant comment, I was just simply stating what I see with my own eyes.... I park my Kenworth within 150 feet of our police department here in my hometown. The police here are great guys and a few are personal freinds of my wife and I. It’s staggering some of the stories they have to tell, and it’s heartbreaking for them in some situations. Really sad so many are addicted to a path of destruction.....

 

My view is these people hear there is a needle program and that lets them know that there are other bleeding heart programs they can get on too.

My older brother needed help getting clean again. There is an outreach program my sister found for him. They knew all the ins and outs. Where the best programs were, who pays and what states have the best benefits.

He was a resident ( homeless) in Washington. Program said get him a residents in Illinois to get insurance started then send him to treatment in Texas.

Because that’s where the best are.

So that’s what happened. His total out of pocket was $0 for a year long program. There was a bill for $900 that a local church paid.

Oddly enough he is currently in a state program getting his CDL in Texas.

So there you have it. Never been a resident of Illinois or Texas. Let alone ever been to either state before this.

 

Current situation:

Trying to seal a crack in the basement .

Either way @Qbf594 , I stand by what @exhausted379 said. @OLDSKOOLERnWV is as fine of individual as one can hope to meet in this world.

 

Yes it’s a state run CDL program. 6 weeks room and board including the cost of the class. 52 year old guy that haven’t seen 2 consecutive years of sobriety since he was 13. Been clean 6 months.

His heath is so bad he can only get 1 year medical card.
Yeah a CDL program seems like a good way to spend tax dollars.

Point is if there are needle programs then there are HIV programs.
