Noticed that the Wylie trailering are showing up in Wichita Falls lately. The guy next to me the other day had an easyroll but still took about 2 hours to get his load secured and out the door. I had a step deck with 2 tarps I had to manually tarp with and almost beat him out the door despite being loaded an hour after he was.
It appears that they aren't used to doing live loads.Lonesome Thanks this. -

It was a Wylie driver. I don't remember ever seeing them there before.

Hi-ho, hi-ho to Canada I go. Hometime is over. I left the house yesterday, brought my empty to Church Hill and hooked up to a St. Augustin, QC load that delivers Monday. 4 out of the last 5 loads have been to Canada. When I got to our drop yard here in Church Hill, it was packed with loads. All year we have had to sit and wait a day or two between loads. Now, the end of the season is almost here and we are finally busy. I am planning on taking full advantage of it too, I am planning on staying out until just before Christmas.
Mascot is a ghost yard any more. Our former management team has been dismissed entirely. The VP had been demoted to dispatcher, but this week when he decided to take his last 2 weeks of vacation, Wylie said to consider that as a 2 week notice and don't bother coming back. None of us shed a tear when we heard he and the COO were gone. Most of us blame the two of them for running this company into the ground. Now, all that is left is 2 safety people, a couple planners, and a few dispatchers along with our breakdown guys and 1 payroll lady. There are a few mechanics left, but not many. Not sure how much longer that location will even exist. One of my friends has already been reassigned a dispatcher out of Fargo, which is screwed up. We were told that Mascot was gonna be the hub for glass operations and Fargo would be the hub for general freight...another lie...from our perspective, it seems as though they are planning on running everything out of Fargo. They had better be prepared, if they keep it up, the Moore drivers will start leaving in large groups. Some of our senior drivers have already told them where to shove it. We are hoping that they don't start requiring us to return our trucks to Fargo when we quit, that's a lot more expensive place to have to travel from.Last edited: Nov 8, 2019

E.W.Wylie looking for glass drivers here in Minneapolis.
Daseke has built quite an empire in what seems a short time.
I remember when Wylie was the red headed stepchild up here, hauling the "difficult" freight with ratty macks.
As someone working for a fortune 200 who has just merged to become the biggest in our niche I can't endorse the bigger is better mantra, at least as it applies to us drivers.
Good luck going forward.

I wouldn’t say Wylie is necessarily a bottom feeder
