I love the entire The Better Life album from 3 Doors Down. I remember my Uncle bought me that CD for my 9th birthday. My first CD and I didn't even own a CD player lol. Had to dub it over to casette because my sister was mean and wouldn't let me borrow her CD boombox :(

Edit: 9th not 6th. Album came out in 2000. For some reason I thought it came out in '96 or '97.

Mama has the habit of putting all the stuff I leave laying in the house in a box...when the box gets full she takes it to the shop.

So I'm cleaning things up today and my right thumb starts feeling mushy and tingling and I'm thinking what's up with that.... My left one always does that when I use it cause I ran it through a tablesaw.

Tonight I'm cooking supper and taking a smoke break at the bar I get to complaining to Mama about my thumb and come to find out I have a blister covering half the pad.

Well last night I found one of her surprise boxes full of my stuff buried on my bench. Inside was the eight inch Cresent I use to fill lp tanks all rusted up. So I soaked it down to sit overnight and today it was still stuck....well I grabbed the propane torch and warmed it up and took a rag and started working it and beating it on the vise.

Tada....I fixed it....cleaned it up....tossed it back in the toolbox.

My question is can I blame this blister on mama or is Blair gonna put me on ignore for making a fluffy post????

I started OTR in 96. Had always been drawn to the road. Came off the road a couple of times, for varying reasons. But I always come back to trucking. Never have been one to stay out weeks at a time. 2 weeks is about all I could ever take. Now I'm home every weekend and if the stars align maybe a night through the week. But I still have the drive and desire to do this job. Is it hard to leave the house? Yep. But as stated earlier, it's the life we chose, for better or worse. Having said that, for me personally, it's part of who i am. I have a traveling soul i suppose.
