Am looking into buying a Volvo. I have read a few posts on these forums to buy a Volvo 2015 or after to minimize emission issues. What changed in that year or is it just a hearsay?

Also what should one do when buying a truck? I understand a Dyno, oil test and an inspection at the dealer or mechanic. Any other things to look for? When doing a Dyno or oil test what am I actually looking for to tell if it's a good engine or not. Thanks a bunch

Oil test lol most sellers will change oil before selling the unit. You can do oil test before you will do first oil change on your newly bought unit if you want otherwise it’s kind of waste.

Don’t buy a rigdig it’s overpriced. Google the vin number and you will see what company was it from, it usually will show you a report like a dot report whenever that truck was stopped for the inspection. Then on a Craigslist or phone apps try to find seller who can do carfax or autocheck report for you for around $5. This will tell you if the truck was in any kind of accident and how many owners this truck had. They both report differently so you might want to do both. Ask a dealer if they have or can obtain service records for this truck if it was traded in with them, plus if it’s local company trade in this dealer should at least have all warranty service records for this unit. Buying from small dealers you might buy a unit with a rolled back mileage. Usually you can tell if it’s too good to be true offer. Pm me some of the trucks you looking at.
