They inundate you with absolutely worthless statistics, and act like they're helping you. They're not. They're just inundating you with BS numbers. And, if you find a good CPA, (not good as in cheating the Feds, but good in trucker taxes), you'll find that ATBS charges 3-4 times as much. Mine runs $550 a year, What is ATBS now? $100 a month?Mountaintrucker4302 and Aamcotrans Thank this. -
I have been kicking around the idea of joining the IC board, but it’s almost impossible to do any homework about it.
Does the board show you the rate for the load plus fsc? or is fsc included in the shown rate? -

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't made any updates, it's been a busy week! Here's the rundown:
Tuesday-Thursday we did more training, got our login info for the O/O portal, planned a mock week on the truck with loads, did road tests and some time in a simulator (yes, Schneider actually has you drive a virtual truck programmed for certain situations)! The road test wasn't necessarily comprehensive because the nature of our orientation class assumes we already know what we're doing. Just drove 5 mi on city streets and 1 straight line back. After we completed orientation 4 of us immediately left to the closest Flying J to get fuel, seeing as SFI only gave us 1/8th of a tank
Of the 4 of us, I had the newest truck. A 2016, a 2017, a 2019 and my 2020 with a whole 44mi on the odometer when I took delivery. I got jealous of the 2019 one cause it's blue, but when I heard it had a Cummins I felt like I dodged a bullet! Never really liked Cummins engines (..did I just piss everyone off in here?)
So Thursday evening while eating dinner the 4 of us started planning loads on our phones. We all got sent to Utah from AZ to fetch trailers, and I'd be starting in St George just north of Vegas. Everyone else went to Spanish Fork and it pissed me off cause that's only 30mins from where I live! No matter. There's no freight in St George and Vegas's rates are poop, so I'm deadheading to Salt Lake, dropping my trailer at the OC, spending my 34 at home then going back to work late Sunday night.
Sunday evening I'm going from Salt Lake to deliver in Salem, Oregon by Tuesday morning, drop and hook both ends. After that I'll dh to Vancouver, Washington to pickup a load to Boise, Idaho and deliver same day. Also drop and hook both ends. I'm currently looking for freight out of Boise for Wednesday and doesn't look that great at the moment. I'm mostly surprised at how difficult it is to find loads going east and out of the mountains.
That's all for now, drive safe and watch them four wheelers!
PS the Detroit IPM is awesome! 12.8mpg from Phoenix - St George with avg speed 60mph! Yeah I did it driving bobtail but still pretty neat.Mountaintrucker4302 Thanks this. -
