Might be a good idea- It'll keep the Impatient trucks in line...Which is a good thing, Tired of Barry Bad@zz flying in the hammer kicking up snow dust over everyone and blinding us.

Let the 4 wheelers go play in the hammer- Im a patient man- I could see this being a good thing- Im never in a hurry anyway.

Sometimes the hammer covered in snow has more traction than the right lane which is ice from the tire heat and the snow blown off.....

And if you get behind granny you can’t go around her....

And don’t move over to let someone on a on ramp...

    It’s all good......

Says it's intended to prevent traffic backups, if anything it will make it worse. GG PA

Penndot.....Poorly Engineered Never Never Done On Time..

For the love of God, why can't these clowns get anything right??

Maybe I'm off my rocker on this, but it would seem to me that if you're gonna restrict lanes, (which I think is a horrible plan), why not move the trucks to the left lane, away from merging traffic?

And while we're at it, remove the stupid left lane restrictions in 81 in Harrisburg/Carlisle. That has to be the biggest joke I've ever seen. You have all the gooberment pukes jumping on at Carlisle and Mechanicsburg, and getting off at Front street. Then you have the mega carriers hogging the center lane. Meanwhile the far left lane is wide open. But don't go over there in a truck! The State Police don't enforce speed limits, but they wont hesitate to bust a truck driver in the left lane. The majority of your post makes good sense, To most.

The thing about unrestricting the left lane to trucks is you'll have way too much commercial movement from Right to Left and Left back to right for exit purposes...

So I can see their thinkig on that- Yeah I agree on the Front Street volume coming outta mechanicsburg,
