I'm up in Virginia, heading to garner north Carolina, near Raleigh. Looks like a bad accident on 77sb down the big hill in nc. Is us52 ok between us58 and mt airy? Looked on google maps, seems straightish, but vaguely remember signs saying no trucks. Going to look in atlas when I get in truck but figured I'd see on here too.

If you’re talking 52 down fancy gap. That’s a 8 ton limit southbound.
truckdriver31 and jammer910Z Thank this. -
I see what you’re talking about. Not really any way around it. 58 going eastbound is limited to 65’

That's what I was afraid of! Oh well. Looked like the accident happened awhile ago so maybe it'll be cleaned up by the time get there.

Go up 81 to Roanoke.
581 south turns to 220.
That'll take you to 58 East around Martinsville... or you can follow it all the way down to 40 in Winston.
A tad out of the way... but better than sitting. -
yeah... that's way jacked up.
I'd follow that route I posted for sure were it me.
I live on 40 near the 77 jct.. so I know the area.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -

Don't do it. Like an 8% grade.
Trucks can go north. Not south.
Been that way for years.
