oh, i knew how to do a run from one end of MA to the other end, ( either Lee, MA or Adams, MA, near the NY border) and then VA in the 10 hour driving time, especially when i was supposed to take an 8 hour break, due to the actual hours and miles.

dispatch could care less, i was well taken care of, with as many loads as i could handle. i loved running, and when i'd say "i want time off", they gave it to me, knowing that when i got back, i'd run my butt off.

Sad state of affairs pressure on drivers today really affect health. High stress all the time coupled with junk food and no Time to really exercise. The company regulates hometime 2weeks out 2 days home. But then you spend one weekend or day hanging out in the truck stop. Trucking can ruin households it's just greed that most on the road. I pull ltl it's not a cake walk or dream of job. It's stressful and monotonous linehaul. Thank

Question: why do people cable seal those little vent doors? Every ####### reefer I pulled when I was at Swift had this problem, and quite frankly, I got tired of cutting the #### things just to have access to that little thermometer...

Took the words right out of my mouth. English isn't their first language either. I'm not being racist, I just see it first hand very frequently. Especially drivers from south of the border who think the world is their garbage can. That's why their country is such a sh**t hole.

Well maybe Loves should put their Chesters Chicken restaurant franchises in check and stop serving dried up fried chicken and soggy pickled jalapeños at an outrageous price . It’s the most disappointing, disgusting meal ever. I don’t know drivers reasons for throwing trash on the ground but if they ate at a Chester’s or bought a gallon of water that was $2.79 but should of been .86 cents I don’t blame them. Loves is good for nothing but a free parking spot and a nice place to take a dump.

The Loves Mgr should stake out a couple of those parking lot employees out by the trash cans with a cattle prod. Every time they see a driver throw trash on the ground, they could chase him across the parking lot & give him a little somp'n, somp'n with that prod..........

Those “parking lot employees” you speak of at Loves are the techs getting $3 or $4 above minimum wage changing your tires and doing pm services/road calls/other basic maintenance. They don’t have Janitors. The Janitors are their Mechanics. Just thought I’d throw that in here. Secretly they throw trash in the parking lot themselves.

Part of the reason I am quitting my current company mid 2020 and going to a place that will have me home 3 days a week non slip seat.
If a tiny company can do it the megas could. They’re just to #### greedy.
So I’ll make MORE money then I am now and get much more home time

    Upinsmoke Thanks this.

That would be fun to watch. Maybe we could give the guys with the cattle prods a score card,,,kinda like counting coup but not quite as final
. It wouldn't be much of a chase though, judging by the lardo drivers I saw in Sacramento last week. I thought I'd run across a weight watchers convention.
