That particular one was not one of my places believe it or not. I knew of it, but what with the patterns of fueling and freighting it was just not one of the stops in my realm. The Boston market for either meat, produce or seafood offered enough diversions if one was so inclined.

Gene Murphy was the owner of Mass 10. He sold out before the place closed for good. Showers were always free and so was the bunkhouse. I have never been treated so well at Mass 10. And Gene Murphy hated four wheelers on his lot. He said that since he didnt sell gasoline or have a restaurant that a car had no business on the property. It was a truck stop for truck drivers.

At that intersection now are a couple of fast food joints and a 99 Restaurant and Pub across the street. That whole stretch of 20 used to have numerous truck friendly parking spots and businesses. It is totally the opposite now.

I thought you were talking about the pilot thats up there now..you'd
pull in to get fuel and the dot would be waiting for you, cause the owner
leased the property from the state!!! we'd be so pissed..good times
