I5 opened NB at noon. I chained up to get on the road, then took em off at a rest area slightly north of weed.

Clean running since, in eugene OR. Load was rescheduled for monday since the delay put me getting there on thanks giving. So im taking my time now. I was up since 6am waiting for roads to open, so ill rest up and get on up there tommorow.

That Troutdale planner finally sent me this load. But waited till 1500 to give it to me lol.
Picked it up at the Troutdale terminal and goes to woodland ca anytime b4 1400. About 420 miles from here.
Reports says roads are open but it is snowing hard on sexton pass from what I have read a few minutes ago.
Have to stop in Medford for fuel and then hope I ha e no issues getting over to final.

 

So it turned out to be a waste of time and effort getting chained up and down?

 

The planners do seem to like to wait until the very last possible second to assign loads.

I wonder why they do that so often.

Dunnigan ca at the pilot.
Left the t/a in Coburg or in foggy conditions.
Stopped at the Petro in pheonix or for fuel.
Did my 30 there. Grabbed a to go plate from the buffet. They just put out their thanksgiving dinner buffet.
Drive the rest of the way to target in woodland ca for my delivery.
Got lucky this time and found an mt and drove here for the nite.
Roads were good except for being wet on some places.
Surprise to see how far down the snow got.
My friends in Acton ca where I stayed for a while unemployed even got snow today.
It's funny... never seen a wild elk till this year. All in Oregon. Today I saw the herd again and this time I saw a few bulls.
Other times all I seen were the females.
Didn't really have a chance to really look at them since I am driving. Wanted to pull over and take some pics but with wet eerkads I didn't feel it was safe or smart. Area I see them is between mm80 and mm90 on i5. Going south they been on the right side.

Woke up at 6 am this morning in dunnigan.
No preplan yet.
Made and drank my first cup off coffee and got a few plans that went to Reno nv. No thanx with weather coming in tomorrow. Guy said chain law was up at dinner this morning.
Around 830 decided to pretrip the teuck and trailer while waiting. And found front tire was flat. Didn't see any nails or cuts.
Took about half hour for on road to answer and get me set up at the pilot tire shop.
Took shop about 30 minutes to replace. Unfortunately I put myself on driveline going to the tire shop. So now my clock is started lol.
Finally got hold of my dl after tire was fixed and he found me this load. Picks up in shafter cA(309 miles away) and delivers anytime tomorrow in pheonix az.
Had to drive hete cause it's a high value load and I didn't think I get to a truck stop before time ran out.
Dl said I could pick it up tomorrow but decided to get it tonite so I can get over the grapevine in case it snows tomorrow.

Made the delivery to in hunt few miles away.
No parking at the flying j so came here.
Went to the tcall shack and asked if they had any loads.
Pick up in Goodyear tomorrow at 1100 and goes to Chatsworth ca at 0700 on Monday. Live load and unload.
Might drive straight to final and.park o the offramp area for the nite.
Gonna be alot of traffic tomorrow. There was today going westbound

 

I'm not sure why mac 30 is working for me, I haven't been Platinum for a while.
I was surprised to see 2 load offerings. I took the second one going to Omaha for a Tuesday morning delivery.
Not the best miles, but at least it isn't getting me back to the east. It was hard getting out of there.

 

Not at all, never would have made it out of weed, and once i got past the ramp it was clean running. I had too chain up to even successfully leave the parking lot without spinning out. That would have happened either way. But all the way to and up the ramp was snow and ice pack. Hit I5 and all was fine. They fully scrubbed it before they opened it.

I ended up Tcalling in sumner, but we found nothing, so ill probably end up delivering the same load i dropped here. Waste of a week, but hey, winter happens. And holidays are screwy.

Even though the week was a loss. Id still prefer to get out, i get stir crazy waiting on roads to open. And i feel best when moving, even at 25-30. But sitting up here over the holidays, has allowed for a unique opportunity to recharge. Since, ive not really properly done so in awhile.

 

I delivered to a Sam's DC in Oswego, IL around 1100 today. It seems Swift just started to deliver there and there were no empties.
As I was headed over the the local Walmart there I had the thought that they just might have one, what will all the blitz loads for Black Friday. I was right, there were 2 sitting there. The manager came out to remove the king pin lock, and I had my mt.
