This is actually a very good deal for truck, trailer, insurance, tags, authority.

My overhead is exactly $700 /week just for the payments on truck, trailer, and insurance. That doesn't even include pro-rated amounts for tag or any of the legal stuff. Plus no down payment?? Pretty good from where I'm sitting.

Wish I knew dryvan freight and booking better. I'd try to run it for someone.

So, would I be leasing this truck to own it?
Or, paying you $700 a week to run under your authority and insurance to run FOR you? And, if so, when freight picks back up, will you have any way to ensure I have another job?

(hubby asking me to ask questions...he's driving and can't read what's posted..Thanks!)

    Thanks,
    Judi Kay

The repairs I am not able to do at this point. I am just throwing the opportunity out there in case someone might benefit from it. Really not making any money on the deal, but hoping to get a good driver that I can trust for when freight picks back up. I'd like to offer a high paying job when that happens to whomever can handle the truck during this tough time.

It is not a lease to own, but if you haul successfully for me for a couple months, we can talk. I really don't want anything to do with owning a truck at this point. I want to learn the industry better and come back in a couple years. So yes, I would be receptive to talking about selling it. It just is not my intention at this point.

He ended up being uninsurable. I guess he got some tickets I didn't know about. Got a call saying "your insurance is cancelled." I knew I paid it, but it wasn't my policy it was the driver. Truck sits until October if I can't get a driver in it by Monday. That is when I plan on cancelling the insurance. After that, I won't even be able to get the truck up and running until freight picks up for me. The insurance down payment is too much to be chasing cheap freight and all that.
