So I filled out an application for Driver's Solution Driving School and somehow ended up expressing interest in Pam Transport. It'll be a 45 minute drive for me to get there at 7am so I'm hesitant. Anyway, I went ahead and looked them up and, my goodness, lots of bad reviews about this place. Given my situation, I'm not counting them out. I am hoping someone in here might shed some positive light......

They have one in Indianapolis. I tried to get info on them but they never called me back, I figured it wasn’t meant to be. Good luck!

Terminals are crap and the pay is low . Many ppl forced to team and stuck in contracts for school. I contracted as a O/O for month on a dedicated account hauling auto parts from Laredo up to the Midwest . There are better companies. Sry I dont have any positives

I’ll agree the pay is lower than some, but they do seem to offer some good turnaround runs out of DFW.
Years ago I considered considered signing on for a home daily run to Austin and back, only paid 180$ a day but I would have been home every night and off weekends.

If you like living in your truck for weeks at a time for crap money, being treated like a #, and pretty much having no freedom at all, definitely check them out.

Pam ripped me off before I was even hired in 1985. Don't think they changed the way that they do business since.

A fellow up the road from my house got his start with them. He and his brother in law decided to be supertruckers. So they ended up at Pam. They teamed for about a year, and in that year, they both made it home a grand total of two weeks, both nearly divorced, and one lost his home.

Then they quit, under contract. Ended up paying for their training, and going their separate ways. One got a local gig pulling flatbed, but that was too much work for him. His wife became an RN around that point. So he's a stay at home Dad. Last I saw him he looked to be about 400 pounds and pale as a ghost from not going outside. I guess video games and Jerry Springer are more interesting
