I have to agree 100%. I just started with them a month ago. Their equipment is junk. When I got there they told me a hotel to check into. Went there and had no reservation so I paid for myself. Was told I would be reimbursed. Not!
Then when it came time to pick out my truck o was told they had some really nice Freightliner Cascadia. Not! I then held out for a Kenworth T680 which was nicer looking but had a lot of issues. Check engine light was on. Coolant level was so low it kept shutting down. I was told just take to a truck stop and fill it up. Broke down on the way because it wouldn’t stay running cause it was too low. No fire extinguisher, no safety triangles. Every time I shut truck off it had to be jump started. Trailer had 2 air leaks on it. Light didn’t work on back of trailer. Blown fuses and lights on tractor. So I fixed everything I could to get it rolling safely.
Now the best part. They advertise you will make $6,000-$7,500 gross weekly. Sure!
On my 5th week without going home and I only hit $4,000 once. After truck payment, trailer rental and expenses your take home is under $1,000. This company is an absolute joke. Don’t waste your time.
Also....communication??? No such thing. All the office bolts for the door at 5:00 pm so if you call at 5:01 you won’t be able to get in touch with anyone till 9:00 am the next day. And I think someone said they are from Macedonia? Not sure but very frustrating when you can’t understand dispatch when they talk to you.
They don’t understand how reefers work and tell you to run unit on continuous when it could be run on start stop. What do they care when you are the one buying the reefer fuel?
I quite honestly could go on and on but trust me, you won’t find a bigger joke of a company out there.
Drivers please stay away from " SELECT ONE INC"

So we can talk. -
PROS
Between $5k-$7k gross per week but ya gotta be willing to bust your hump to get to $7k but it’s doable. Management is easy to get along with and dispatch is like having a business partner not a boss.
CONS

Don't pay attention to the guys who didn't make it. Ther'e arent many of 'em anyway and they need to stop blaming someone else for them no wanting to work. Being an owner op isn't for everyone.
- Weird how all this guys who complain they have change 15 companies in last 12 months and all of them are bad UNBELIEVABLE !BackwoodsGA Thanks this.
