PA Turnpike rate increase

1.4 billion in revenue and 700 million in expenses that is 700 million dollars in profit if i am reading that correctly. I would love to see where all that money eventually ends up. That is alot of frickin money

 

$1.4 billion in revenue.

$700 million in debt payment. That’s just going to pay back debt and interest.

That leaves $700 million for operating expenses

As ridiculous as it is, Pennsylvania charges a toll for you to drive on their roads, and then they take that money and they use it for other things besides the toll roads.

It's free money for them that they don't have to make any kind of funding budget or anything else. Just keep raising tolls every year. Eventually it's going to cost a passenger car $100 to travel one exit.

That absolutely should be illegal. That Revenue should only go to the maintenance of the turnpike itself.

Even more reasons why to avoid their toll roads. Theirs are already some of the most expensive in the nation.

 

Right. Drivers can get around them easily. High fuel, and high tolls....jesus

 

And high ####### hills to waste all ur fuel. PA is the worst state in the all US when it comes to trucking.

 

Pension fund shortfalls should be my best guess.
