You won’t lose more than a quart.

Nothing special just unscrew it don’t loose the crush washer that goes in front of the sensor.

When they start leaking, are they still good to be reused if retightened? Do they leak because they are loose, or broken and needing replacement? I have a new one already. I noticed it comes with a metal washer. I thought it would use a silicone washer.

Usually the sensor itself leaks and has to be replace. The sealing/crush washer shouldn’t be reused, but I would be lying if I said I had never done it and had it reseal.

Just replace it as sensor is leaking not the mount

Yup, it was pretty easy and quick. I did end up damaging the sensor clip a bit, but it was still usable. On the bright side, now I know exactly how to remove those tricky clips without damaging them. Freightliner apparently doesn’t sell that sensor clip. They only sell the whole assembly.

So how do you remove that clip?

Use a pick to pull up the gray tab. Be careful not to over pull it. It will pull up some 10% of 1 inch. When you’re ready to put it back together, press the gray tab down, and then install it. You should hear a click.
