A local driver initiated a lawsuit due to not receiving meal breaks. It has now been certified as a class action.
What did they do to royally tick this driver off?

If the industry was innundated with suits of this type, maybe it would open some eyes to the abuses that occur every day.

To bad this is doomed for a big

    FAIL

This has been tried before in the transit industry. What part of labor laws not applying to transportation doesn't the ambulance chaser understand. We are governed in most states by the states version of HOS for intrastate driving and by the FMCSA's rules for interstate.

Local drivers aren't covered. Don't forget Knight fired your greasemonkeys claiming interstate laws, when the guys worked at Tulare only.

Not to take sides, but I would have thrown the case out of the window. First comes the guy that wants to sue due to not taking a meal break. Second, someone will sue because he can't shower. Third, someone will sue because blah blah blah.....

    You get the point.

Yeah, what's next, suing companies for making you run a hot book! And not following safety laws!
