Large amounts of fluid with little or no food before lunch kind of set the tone for the day, regardless of your general health. If you can find low fat foods to snack on as you drive and try to limit your fluid intake, you'll see the frequency decrease greatly. I generally don't drink anything in the afternoon other than a glass of water with a meal, and it helped out at night a lot. I have minor prostate enlargement that causea my frequent urination, but diabetes can also cause it. Probably worth a trip to the doc.

I know a guy that held it for like 6 hours and ended up going to the doctor because he thought something was wrong. He had a pain that took a while to go away. Apparently he didnt want to ask his codriver to stop and he was too good for a piss jug.

But most us will either stop somewhere about every two hours or we will pee in an empty jug.

Sometimes I can hold it comfortably for like 8 hours, then stop and fill an empty liter bottle right to the rim with one go. Other times I have to go all the time.

It depends on parking and such whether or not I just use a jug, a bathroom, or just go outside. Last night I squirted at a closed weigh station in Maryland. I saw it was empty and didnt want to fight the crowded rest areas. So I left them a UA behind their dumpster.

I have only gone once while driving. I was on a long highway stretch and didnt see place to pull over and there was no shoulder. Was about to go right in my seat.

I didn't know that we had so many physicians on here who also happen to drive a truck. Amazing.

I have swelling of my ankles during the day and have to pee a lot at night. I use a large 3 lt water bottle and pour some Pine Sol in it. That way there is no odour. I dump it out in the grass in the morning

I pee more often than I used to, probably because I drink iced tea as I drive. I use a large plastic cup (much less chance of missing!) that I then empty into a gallon milk jug with screw on cap. I rinse out the cup right away, and I pour out the jug whenever I can do so in a place that won’t offend anyone (rest area toilet, storm drain, bushes away from parking areas, etc). I rinse/sterilize both with boiling water after I brew coffee/tea and make my oatmeal in the morning.

    SMH. Don't do this.

We're human beings, if you need to pee, then find a safe place to pull over and pee. Hit a rest area or use a pee jug. Don't stop on the shoulder of the interstate. If it's an emergency find an on/off ramp.

I miss the days when trucks had those vent windows. Didn't have to stop to pee.
