If you want to do Walmart dedicated accounts I suggest either Tomah,WI or Clarksville,AR. I haven’t done New Albany yet but from my understanding it pays out well. I was making a killing at Clarksville!

I ran a few loads out of Toman, WI and I enjoyed it. They give decent runs.

They just acquired ANOTHER Walmart DC account in Monroe,Georgia about 35 minutes east of the Tucker terminal. It’s still going through transitional phase(Marten fully takes over in February, when Hub Group finally pulls out-Swift is already out of there).

I live in North Alabama, the Shelbyville TN DC is 114 miles from my house while New Albany is 156 miles. I still might look into the New Albany though, thanks for the info!!!

I drove for Marten from 2008 to 2013. Its a decent company with perks and nice equipment. APU's and inverters are nice too. When I was with em' you could not bank hometime, and had to give up your truck if you took more then 4 days off. When I was there, there are a few things you must not do.
    > Dont hit anything, especially a rear end or worse, even a 5 mph rear end.
    > Dont get a 15 over speeding ticket
    > Dont get a following to close ticket
    > Dont get caught talking on cell or text
    > Dont get caught without seatbelt on
And finally, you gotta keep your inspection clean when you get pulled around back of the scale house. They dont want you to ding there CSA score. And they dont like to hire drivers who's PSP is loaded up with a bunch of bad inspections. Thats the way it was when I was there, maybe things are different now.

Your best bet is to go with the New Albany DC. I haven't talked to any drivers out of Shelbyville that were making big bank. That DC is sandwiched between New Albany & Monroe. You'll basically be pulling loads in middle Tennessee to POSSIBLY eastern Tennessee. New Albany got the rest covered and the Georgia DC got the other stuff.

@mjd4277 laptop hiding that pay scale man tell us what it is.

LMAO,I’m not hiding anything, you’ve been asking this ever since you left!!
    (admit it,you wanna come back,lol)
I’ve been with Marten for 3 1/2 years now and I’m currently rated around $.65 to $.68 cpm depending on the loads, and I won’t top out my pay until I hit my 5 year mark.

Still getting paid by the mile???
You are getting robbed every time that truck isnt rolling and you are working for the company. IMNSHO, DRIVERS should be paid by the hour for every minute they are on-duty, not just drive time!
