They used to name routes and areas in states covered by the advisory along with road closures.
Wonder why that changed ?

I have that WeatherBug on my Phone- Its ok...I prefe rto hear a Humans voice on the Radio..AM or FM dont matter

US 30 will fill up with the same problems.
I don't do advisories. I know when there is a storm coming with enough time to get Auntie into the hole. -
They still have them, but you have to pull it up to get the detailed info. NWS all I use.
For the n00b's - You have to look at the whole thing and like everything else it's a developed skill. Just because the forecast is blue, that means it's definitely gonna snow, but an 1 inch or 16 inches? Etc. -
They had a message on NOAA radio a few years ago that they were doing away with travel advisories and road closures
