I get 5 to 5.75ish per gallon. But understand I have a 14.7 liter 893ci engine. I drive local and pull heavy weight. Hope this helps.

I absolutely hate a15 speed so it's an easy choice for me. I'd go with the N14. The Cummins is already broke in and ready to roll.

It’s a red top. I had one in the late 90s and it ate injectors like crazy. The truck with the n14 13sp is definitely the rougher of the 2. Truck was originally out of Michigan. Lotta rust etc

I mainly haul machinery otr pulling 2019 all aluminum low pro step. Just sold my 2000 kw...so I’ve gotta pull the trigger soon. I’m not a mechanic by any means but carry tools always and do what I can. 20 years out here so I’m not a greenhorn rookie lol

Change transmissions if need be. Best money I ever spent on my c mechanical truck was swapping in an rtlo18918b. If the b model truck is in that much better shape that would win me over. When u said rust and Michigan you changed my direction.

I greatly appreciate yours and everyone else’s input. As a kw man, I’m choosing the Pete with the B model 15spd. Honestly after looking over them again today it’s #### near immaculate for the year (96). It needs a good buffing but that’s it. New brakes and drums all the way around. Frame has been sand blasted and painted. You can eat off of it. Could use 2 lug tires but the other 8 are #### near new. I’m like you...13 or 18 is in the future but I don’t think I can go wrong.

Yep it's a no brainer now. When I said there n14, that was assuming both trucks were in similar condition.

The kw with n14 isn’t terrible but needs some love. And love in this industry is $$$ and time and time is money. Feel confident I made the right choice. I did forget to mention the Pete needed brakes pretty badly so I conned him into throwing brakes and drums all the way around. Waiting on them to get done with it now. Much appreciated everyone. Y’all Just confirmed what my gut was telling me

and if the pete is a 96, and the motor came in it it is a 3406C. Same bottom end as a 3406e.

    MagicMan22 Thanks this.
