Yeah for now... I was surprised that we got all of our cars pulled out by Christmas... we had a #### ton to move, but when I came out after the holiday we were only getting pre sold units and priority stock... plant closed down til the end of last week.

Just curious if you tried backing a 2wd on the Headrack into the pockets and hard tie it to see how tall it would be?

No, I did pull a Ram 1500 on the head rack one time, hard tied it. Was 14’2”. Should have never put it up there. But was just going from ATL to Nashville so I didn’t have any height worries. Just created more work for myself.

Did you back it on with pockets open?

No drove it on pockets open, unforced error. Won’t do that again.

That is how you learn your rig by trying new things that don’t always work. Try backing it on some time with the pockets out not fully open at first, hard tie the rear end if allowed. You can open the pockets all the way if someone is watching you the first time you do this. If the pickup truck has running boards leave the pockets closed 2 holes or be perfectly centered so that you don’t get into the running boards. You will see that a 2WD will come out of the pockets if you lift the front posts up to unload. I bet you can get it to 13’9 or so hard tied even on a cab with no roof chop. On mine it is less than 13’6 soft tied and if you add your extra rood height and subtract the hard tie you may see you are good.

How far did you drop your headramp? I usually won’t drop any further than cover 3 (my term for 4 holes showing, bottom one is painted so I don’t count it, bottom of pin flipper covering 3rd unpainted hole). You must have tied that sucker pretty hard...
