My son wants to get his pilot's license and my FIL's crop duster offered to help him. I'm not certain he finished the sentence before my wife said "NO!!!"

You guys are way over my head, as far as farming goes I'm a low wage hand at best. But my childhood buddy farms about 1700 acres and commercially sprays. He has gotten the idea that he wants a helicopter to spray. I informed him it was nice knowing him, I get to pick the helio name as "Sudden Impact" and I'm going to take out the insurance policy. It's a guarentee pay out. Really hope he doesnt. He is not the kinda guy that should be flying one or own one.

You know you're working on a high idle time engine when you pop the head off to change a blown head gasket and there's close to an eighth inch of carbon buildup on the pistons.

We've started using spray planes around here for large grass fires. Not only to help put them out, but for reconnaissance as well.
