Cargo Securement

Can you take a picture of the rack loaded with your gear? A visual would help tremendously.

 

I was told while being inspected I had to have at least one 1inch strap on my dunnage. Also on my V-boards. Ours are about 6ft long.
I haul my tarps on my drom (lwer part of my headache rack), or cat walk.

 

Use an old piece of 4 inch strap to put under the 1 inch strap and it will last years

 

In a pinch digging up old 4 inch rolled a certain way will provide corners to secure new good strapping to.

You needed those straps to be tight enough for that original securement to make a little music as you hit it or it sings and whistles in the wind. Don't worry if its really serious they will come after you.

 

Put a old 4” strap piece where the 1” straps touch the tray.

I like the slip on cover sleeve that Jonjon posted. cut straps work but the sleeve will be a time saver. one other thing I do with my tarps, is store them with the open end facing down to help keep road spray and water out. Nice to see guys that care about how their stuff looks and take care of it.
