They are people. So pretty much from coffee. To the Mets or weather. Nothing to personal thou.

When I tested in Virginia I had to do the straight back. Half moon back. Off set. And parell. The off set and Parnell where chosen at random. Every one got drive side but one. I think the test giver was rasicist. But it was thier 6th time testing do I dunno.

On each maneuver you are allowed to pull up so many times before you lose points. And if I remember I think you can get out and look on the parell. As well as three pull ups. But don't quote me please

Thanks for the reply, wow that's a lot of maneuvers to perform, for the skills test I am seeing that for all five maneuvers you are allowed to G.O.A.L 2 times and Pull-Up 2 times, after 2 Pull-Ups each additional Pull-Up will cost you a point, same goes for G.O.A.L.

Its all about getting into the starting position correctly. If you can nail that part. Then the test will do its self.

Thier are little tricks that I don't remember. Like I think. One is counting to three Mississippi's. You would have to ask some of the more experienced drivers here. But don't sweat it. It really is simple. Honestly I had to test three times. I couldnt get past the pretrip the first two. Times. But I am fairly well coordinated. To me that pretrip was difficult.. Because everything had to be said in a certain. Order. And my brain hates certain orders.

PA is the same, along with an (I think) 120 or so point pretrip. I got lucky when getting my CDL in 2015 and got it just before the state switched over to the new stuff. All I had to do was a quick visual pretrip, straight back, ally dock, and road test.

    Thanks for the reply,
I am currently viewing Pre-Trip/Engine Start-Up procedures on Youtube. Just like you had mentioned the examiners want it in order and with a certain dialogue such as for the pre-trip you have to say clean and functional, and/or safe to operate. Without the dialogue you could fail. The instructors give a 10 page script that you have to memorize for the Pre-trip.

    Thanks for the reply,
My plan is to acquire the Class A CLP ( Commercial Learner Permit) and schedule 2 hour classes in a Tractor-Trailer; if I don't feel comfortable then I will just go with a Class B, unless if the school offers me a Dump Truck pulling a Pintle Hitch Trailer, then I could train and test in that for Class A.

If I was to do it all over again. I would do it in Wyoming "i think"....I was told either them or a state close to them. Where ever you fail your test at. When you come back that's where you start back at.

Rocken robins dump truck in Roanoke va. If you where the best employee for two yrs they would slowly train you and let you use their dumps for the test. But they where under Insured and now out of business

They used to have one called the serpentine. You had to zig zag, backwards, through these orange barrels.

It's too bad they did away with it, cause it would have saved billions of dollars in insurance claims, and probably a few lives.
