Right! Thanks! So what's the difference between the transmission mentioned above an this one; FULLER RTX-12709H (9 spd.)? Cause I'm driving a truck now with this 9 spd. With 3.90 rears and the same rubber. So it dont seem like there should be that much of a difference between the two trucks, but yet there is! Its seems that the 10 spd. With 3.91 rears is "geared" so much higher (slower, hardly any rpm drop between shifting)?! I thought that 10 spd. Was a direct tranny by the way it drives.

According to this they are both .73:1 over drives in high gear. Are the rpm’s the same for each truck in high gear at the same speed? Ratio

That I'm not sure on as I only have limited access to info. Maybe
@spsauerland @pushbroom can look up what parts it was made with.

The info I gave you is what the engine had for hp when it left factory. On a 2ws I would think you could safely go up to 550 by just turning it up. You could go above 550 but if you have it done by a reputable tuner. Don't quote me on that though.

For example let's say your tranny is a 1650 torque rating, CAT won't go past 475-500 horsepower cause of that.

I see your from Australia so not sure how things are done over there.

Sorry I can't be of much more help, but the other guys will be around soon.

    Good luck

    Spriggy383 Thanks this.

2WS has two levels of iron, low HP and 435 up. He can go to 550 with flash. Just like @SAR explained, they are not supposed to take higher than weakest drivetrain component. Many other places to get a flash besides Cat house and cash talks.

I have a 96 Freightliner fld120. How can I cheaply, yet safely drop the front end down a few inches, without having to bag it? A certain shock, leaf spring/spring hanger, etc.? Any ideas, please provide...
    Thanks!
