C1 Training Ft Wayne.

    I am All set to attend C1 in Ft. Wayne on August 24th. Driver Solutions has secured me a job with USA Truck. I am kinda nervous but I'm also excited too. Any input from USA drivers and anyone who has attended the Ft. Wayne campus recently would be greatly appreciated. I have read both the good and bad. I know that not everyone is satisfied however the BBB search indicates a pretty good rating for all 3 companies.

    Yes last year the hotel that they put you is a dump ,I had to buy my onw t-paper. No towels to a shower. And the traner on the truck side care more about talking on the phone. Tostart

    I see. I have heard all about the Hotels and I do know that they are sending people to what used to be a days inn now. Not sure how nice it is but it is a 50+ a night room on orbitz. No Holiday Inn Express but I don't expect that. As far as the trainer, Was that with C1 or the trucking company??

    Don't sound like the hotel that I stayed at. The tranner at C1, after two day with him I said no thanks.

    Well billyg,

    I haven't been there yet, and I don't work for USA but, it looks like I'll be seeing you on campus on the 24th. They say we can check in any time after 3pm on the 23rd, so that's probably when I'll be in town.

    After reading this forum, I'm not really sure what to expect, but I'm also hoping it won't be as bad as some here make it out to be. If I'm wrong, then so be it.

    Well I have moved my start date back to Sept. 14th now do to some Family issues that came up. Go figure...(wife has to take a last minute business trip and we couldn't make arrangements for the kiddos) So I guess we won't be seeing each other but I will look for some reports from you.

    I'll be heading here Sept. 28th unless stevens calls me first and I decide to go with them. I live about 35 min from ft. wayne, so I don't need to stay in the hotel, but I do know the area the school is in and it's not the greatest area, so if the hotel is that area, it's probably not the greatest hotel. I guess the way I look at that is that if you're going to be on the road, you are going to be in alot worse places. Sorry I can't be of more help on your question, but Good Luck!
