Cant remember how long mine took. Few weeks after fingerprints I think. I had some stuff on my background, nothing from or related to the disqualifications list. I passed

TSA is concerned more about certain offenses. Arson for example. Don’t sweat felonies like theft, etc unless related to explosives and such.
They have access to INTERPOL. very few private companies do. They know everything. Do not lie

Yes the United States is part of the 5 eyes survillence system with other Nations.

Canada Customs know about me when I show up at the border. Ive nothing to worry about myself but its interesting how ones information is able to be pulled up In certain situations.

If you think that's interesting, just wait until a China style social credit score takes hold in America. You would find for trivial offenses you will be denied travel on anything except a bike.

I got my TSA approval letter in the mail exactly a week from when I got fingerprinted. That letter tells you that you're all good and they sent the information to the DMV. They sent the letter to the DMV and my license was issued 2 days later. I'm sure it varies state by state but it's a pretty quick process

Just go see what the DMV says. Worst case, you were denied and just wasted a trip to the DMV. But there's nothing to be nervous about. It's not like they're gonna call the cops on you if you show up and it turns out you were denied.
