we got that, also. one thing i hadn’t thought about: hid headlights don’t get hot. anything on the lens freezes and builds up. i stopped 4x to knock the ice and crud off the headlights.

Me too, but it started halfway through my shift and it had been forecasted to start as snow. I pushed through nice and slow, and I’m glad I did because I now have a better understanding of how the truck handles it.

Yesterday, I went past a familiar intersection. I recalled when I first started driving, bobtailing to the yard, the intersection was solid ice. I hit the brakes, and my little Jimmy daycab started spinning like a top, what seemed like ten times around. Luckily no traffic, no harm, but I learned something that day!!! Whew!!!!!

We've had that issue over here on occasion, and tried to come up with solutions for it. I think we tried Rain-X on the lenses before, I can't remember if it worked or not. Or maybe a coating of auto wax? If I remember, you have to be careful what you put on, some things can cause the lenses to become brittle.

This is old but still a good photo. It’s at the Loves in Shelby Iowa fueling up after hitting a little bit on snow on I- 80 headed West. 3D3648C2-DFFC-4AB0-844B-FBAEFF602B92.jpeg
