you better check with your permit people on when VA is going to issue - they can be really slow like upto 10 days slow on a superload permit

Yea, we applied for it today to see how jacked up VA was going to be since we are barely over the line into superload territory. I've already informed the broker.
.3' width and .1' height so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hell, the boat ain't even in port, and the other one is waiting on clearance from USCG to enter the port( was supposed to be in dock on the 7th).
Normally I wouldnt waste my time, but since we are within the 48 window to push the load, detention will begin thursday and accrue until we load.

I think its also called a bag filter. My understanding is you can't even order the city permit until the state issues you a permit 1st. Are you coming out of NIT?

That is correct, which is why we put the state order in today without knowing when we are truly loading. Give us an idea on what we are dealing with and get the ball rolling so we can do the city asap.
    Yea NIT.

You are probably looking at a 10 day wait.... from my experience with them. Once you get the state permit in hand then wait 24-72 hours for Norfolk to issue a permit. Im not %100 sure.... do you even need a city permit for Norfolk?? I thought if you were coming out of NIT on terminal blvd you don't need one?? Or is that you don't need an escort on Terminal blvd???

yea, who knows. Apparently the geniuses that arranged this havent done them before, so its going to be funny when they have to pay 9 days of detention just to get it out of the Port. Serves them right for not properly planning.... They expect us to get unloaded thursday and just roll, but if every truck booked yesterday, none of us are gettting permits for at least a week...lol let the fun begin.

    $100/hr, up to 1000/day.
thats the only reason i agreed to this circus. if it had been the crap most Van/flat brokers offer i would have passed on the load.
