Heartland maintenance

Like any other large fleet .
Just enough to keep the warranty intact until they dump the truck shortly before the warranty is up .

 

Bzinger is right..That’s pretty much how the fleets are run and heartland is no different

 

Sorry OP i wasnt being sarcastic at all .
My late father in law was the truck engine manager for cat in Omaha and werner was a customer of his and I quote " they're goal is to wring every cent out of that truck before they dump it just before the warranty is up ..while putting as little as possible into it " end quote.
Wasnt trying to rain on your parade or dissuade you from anything but that's the reality of fleet trucks and they really have that dialed in.
I myself bought a fleet truck (511k on the clock) in sept of 17 for wholesale price knowing it would get pricey down the road and it did !
The rest of 17 and all of 18 were just the usual stuff you would do on any truck in that milage range along with some upgrades .
In Jan of 19 at 684k I had it overhauled and my repair and maintenance expenses for last year were 41 grand .
Just keep that in mind and plan for it .

 

Millis does theirs at 35k. Heartland bought Millis so not sure if they’re the same or not

 

Heartland express changes oil every 35k miles known as B service as I currently still drive for heartland express

Ive generally have the engine oil changed at 15K but have run them up to 30K when things are super busy. In a team truck situation thats about 5 weeks give or take.
