So! For some reason after multiple months my genius dog decided that chewing on the airline under my seat seemed like a good idea
I’ve taped where the leak is, but it’s not working, tons of air leaking out. What do I do?!?
I just need a quick fix hat that’ll last a few days until I can get home
Urgent help: in cab airline!

Vice grips will work best
Or cut the line and fold it over itself so it pinches and tape around the fold
Or go pick up a couple ferrals from a repair shop (the little brass pinch inserts inside that t fitting) take it apart and cut off the section of damaged line and refit. Will cost you maybe $1 and take 5 mins if you have a couple wrenchesrachi, blairandgretchen, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -
What he said ^^^^ Cut out the bad part, undo the nut where your air gun is spliced in and replace the ferrals, bolt back together.
rachi and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Or cut out the bad section and use a quick connect like this

Vice grips, or pinch, bend, fold and tape - anything to stem the flow.
Any Napa or O’reillys should have fittings to repair. You’ll need 1/2” and 9/16” wrenches from memory for the brass fittings. -
Flex seal they cut a boat in half
birdman52, Hazmat Cat and Cabinover101 Thank this. -
Ok so the leak has been temporarily dealt with. The entire brass fitting was going so I essentially cut the gun out and taped up both ends until I can get to a shop.
however that also killed the air for my seat so I’m pretty much sitting on the floor -
