I am planing on leasing with Greatwide, but I need some info before making any move.
Are Greatwide Dallas Mavis, Greatwide Cheetah and Greatwide Truckload Management all the same?? If so do they post their loads on the same load board like Landstar and all it subsidiaries do
Greatwide

Greatwide is an agent based company, each office is completely independent of each other. They do have a central dispatch board where you can shop agent loads or use their central dispatchers to load you. It all depends on what you're looking for there. If you want to self dispatch, you need to find an agent willing to let you access their DAT and load board, if you want to have an agent run you're truck you can do that also. The pay percentage is the exact same no matter what you do or what division you lease under. All divisions operate the same internally, but have different DOT/MC/insurance so make sure whichever you lease to has the cleanest CSA scores and reputation.. Some brokers won't work with one division but will work with others..

I end up applying with Universal Truckload, I was checking for Greatwide flatbed trucks while I was out on the road and honestly I didn’t see more than 3 trucks and that worried me about their freight on flatbed, most of the trucks that I saw were dry vans.

Run away. Scum bag lying con artists. Cheater got me to arrive at a "legal load" they knew to be oversized so they could corner me into moving it cheap. Oct4th on this page

This business is so interesting and confusing at the same time. I just filled out a carrier packet for Greatwide working wit an agent out of Texas, for a load from NV to UT.
There are so many layers to this onion, it’s difficult to get a handle on it. And these carrier packets are a joke but they are not! They are all to the brokers advantage but really you are extorted (by getting work) to sign these things. I know, if you don’t like it don’t sign it, but for the most part, if you are using load boards, it not even really an option.
I’m just hoping the company pays. The agents seem legit, so I’m giving Greatwide a shot.
