Long 15 hour day....started my day at 3 am like I prefer to and got to hay receiver at 6. Waited in line to get unloaded, only one guy on a forklift unloading everybody....got out after 9 and bounced me to Vista for load of hot tubs. My 14 was up at 1700 and they gave me a 1530 appt.....planners don't check these things I guess....they said show up early and will work me in. Got there at 1100 and told to park in street and will call me. Finally called me 1400 and only took 20 min to load me thankfully but some idiot flat bed driver decided to park right in front of me to strap and tarp his load. I blew the air horn and told him to move cuz I was running out of time. He wanted me to help him tarp because would go faster....no my 14 is counting....still ended up over my 14....good old LA traffic, 3 hours to go 80 miles, lol! Got truck wash approved thankfully so I can get the mud washed off from that hay shipper.

I applied at Abilene. No one from there has contacted me, just requested that new clearinghouse thing. Not much info to be found on the internet....I’m far too lazy to read all 2648 pages of this so someone please fill me in :)

@FloridaBoy93 ... hello... feel free to ask any questions you wish to know... “please fill me in” is a rather general request... trucking company, dry van and Reefer, mostly east of the Mississippi but can run to any State. Good equipment good frieght...

perfect? no, but better than most.

and as a big benefit, they do hire out of Florida.

not sure what clearinghouse you are referring to... how/when did you apply? Trish is our recruiter. Just call and ask for her. You might get her voicemail but better than waiting for the phone to ring.

    Thank you.
I am pretty much looking for a drivers input. Good money? Decent home time? Benefits? Physical? All the normal questions someone looking into a company would be asking. The “clearinghouse” is a new thing FMCSA put out. Companies use to check your drug and alcohol violations and such

Abilene is not a “put in your application and sit back and wait to hear from recruiting “ kind of company. You must call them, sometimes repeatedly, before you’ll get someone. Yes, fmcsa is now requiring all drivers who go to a different company register with the clearinghouse. Sucks, but hey, just one more regulation in an over regulated industry.

Starting pay .38-.40 cpm depending on experience

Home time is 1 day home for every 6 days out, but they are pretty good about getting you there and sometimes will let you have extra time if you need/ want it.

Physical is normal physical stuff. Expect a hair follicle test.

Benefits suck. Period. Expensive. Same as most trucking companies.

Aren’t the drug test results already in that hire right database the companies use to see your history?

Of course he did... Just because the Guards were actually sleeping... and the cameras didn’t work... and his cell mate was removed from the cell... all these crazy conspiracy nuts cases come out of the wood work...

Besides, who would ever want to hurt that nice kind gentle man... let alone kill him...

It’s not like he knew anything... oh wait...

    never mind...

Thanks. Based off what you have said, I’d rather find another company.
