I don't know #### about tractors, but always marvel at the simplicity , durability and ingenuity of the old timey engineering .

I've farmed with horses the last 30 years and have accumulated a fair pile of old iron, half of which I've never used, nor never will. Despite knowing this i still had to outbid everyone else at the farm dispersal auctions . LOL There is just something about vintage farm equipment that is irresistible!

Where is everyone # 5 ? Still hauling blocks and sleeping home.

 

Got the truck out of the shop today. They raised the rev limiter. Now that it shifts faster, and is allowed to rev higher so it doesn't lug everywhere its getting decent mileage.

 

Going back to the temp cables in our grain bins, I forgot I had this screenshot of temperature readings taken back in June of 16.

We have the app set up to notify us if temperatures go above a certain point. Well it alerted us that one bin was in trouble! We got the fan back on and cooled it off just in time before we lost some corn to heat damage.

 

What’s the ideal temperature for corn?

 

So do the sensors read at certain heights or is it just an average temp across the whole sensor for say a 2 foot radius however long the sensor is?

 

Bout 102 deg off the grill with butter all over it ! ......couldn't help myself !!
