I mean, American Express has always been a credit card company to me, but now their name make so much more sense! They used to build wagons to help you get across America...faster... or Express!bigbyrc and wear.yer.kilt Thank this. -

Uber freight sucks. I've tried it on some runs and in majority its the cheapest. lots of runs are not worth firing up the truck. if you pay lumper out of pocket they try to find a way not to refund. I've had problems with refund and sometimes they don't. once its a mistake second go hell.

Uber freight is by far the worst to work with.. Not only do they have no customer service and poor contact help . THey will not pay or correct shipper issues. Had driver arrive early and shipper did not get to them for 5 hours put inaccurate times on BOL to cover themselves and refused to fix or sign .. No one at Uber would answer calls or emails and then denied detention even after GPS proof Driver ELD log proof sent to them on top of all the emails sent at time while driver was still at shipper. THey have no problem ripping off the Carrier and you will wait weeks to get a generic answer where no one even read the email sent to them. This is not the new way of trucking this is Uber's attempt to come in and low ball market and for time being they will succeed and then they will raise their customer rates after getting business and still continue you push down rates to carriers and their customers will suffer because they will get piss poor service and reliability .

Uber Freight lost $55 Million in Q4 of 2019, not surprising that they've decided not to pay accessorials.

It's in here. Third table, EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization for those that don't know- I didn't and had to look it up) shows a 55 million dollar posted loss. I'm not savvy enough on all of it to have a really solid understanding of what all I'm reading here, but that does at least jive with what @JimmyTwoTimes stated.SteveScott and Frontman Thank this. -
PPDCT is correct, that is what I was referencing. They did alot more business in Q4 of 2019 than Q4 of 2018, but they also lost a lot more ($55mil lost in q4 of 2019, $23mil lost in Q4 of 2018). They are winning business by going in way under market (they quote less than they pay on the lane). My guess is they will raise their rates to shippers in the near future, I can't imagine their share holders/investors want to continue losing money on their business.

Got no qualms with uber. We recently started doing stuff with them. Getting 700 on 168mi sometimes 2 loads a day we get out of there. Some weeks only 3-4 loads but rate is always same and no prob getting paid
